It’s standard for any upcoming fixture to have a press conference and, in this day of instantly accessible news, social media is the best place to find out what is said.
The ‘presser’ is usually held on a Thursday or Friday during work hours, so fans get a chance to catch up a couple of hours later when they get in from work. It’s been the case at clubs across the country and today, Keith Hill has been facing the press ahead of Bolton’s relegation scrap with Wimbledon this weekend.
It’s almost a six-pointer, but the truth is Wanderers would need nothing short of a miracle to remain in League One this season with a woefully inadequate squad and the points deduction. Manager Keith Hill has worked with his hands tied behind his back throughout the campaign, although some supporters have perhaps felt he might have done a bit better.
He’s been giving his thoughts to the press today with the club’s official twitter feed promising to bring his quotes to the supporters in a series of tweets. Without even hearing what he has to say, fans have responded in the usual dry and sarcastic manner that is found amongst those battling relegation.
We’ll now bring you some of his quotes they said… he is the sort of responses they got in return.
