‘We’ve been found out!!’ – Concerned Shrewsbury fans react to latest defeat

Shrewsbury Town failed to register a shot on target as Doncaster beat them 2-0 at the Keepmoat Stadium last night.

A comfortable win for Rovers was secured by goals from Niall Ennis and Tom Anderson to move the South Yorkshire outfit up to 12th and leave Salop in 15th, just two points above their opponents at the weekend Lincoln City.

Shrewsbury boss Sam Ricketts said the defeat was the result of an ‘off night’ for his side when he spoke to the local press after the game, but his team’s blunt attack was once again exposed.

Salop have now scored just twenty-one league goals in twenty-three games, and the concern is their defence, which was watertight earlier in the campaign, has now failed to keep a clean sheet in four games.

While Ricketts remains a popular figure amongst many supporters it is clear from the social media reaction to the result many are starting to get frustrated with their manager and his dour tactics.

Here is a selection of responses to the result and the post-match comments of Ricketts on Twitter.
