Ipswich Town duo Bailey Clements and Corrie Ndaba have joined Hemel Hempstead Town on loan as the first team prepare for their FA Cup clash with Lincoln City, as reported by the EADT.
The duo are both graduates of Tractor Boys’ Academy and they could make their debuts against Essex side Braintree Town in the National League South this weekend, whilst their parent club host the Imps at Portman Road.
Clements, a captain of the Under 23 squad, has one senior appearance for Ipswich. He made his debut in the Carabao Cup defeat to Luton Town earlier this season. Ndaba has yet to play for the first-team but is also a former captain of the Under 23 side.
Ndaba was due to join teammate Barry Cotter at Chelmsford earlier this month, but financial issues at the Clarets meant that deal fell through at the eleventh hour.
The Tudors are currently fourth in the National League South but are eight points behind runaway leader Wealdstone. They’re managed by former Chelsea trainee Sammy Moore, who has ex-Russia keeper Dmitri Kharine as his goalkeeping coach.
This is a sensible move for Ipswich; their young players need senior football and many good professionals have plied their trade in the sixth tier.
Jamal Lowe, Matthew Spring and Morgan Ferrier all played for the Tudors, who currently boast former MK Dons and Lincoln midfielder Luke Howell amongst their ranks.
