Fleetwood Town and Accrington Stanley are keen on Burnley defender Jimmy Dunne according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Nixon is usually a reliable source of transfer information, and he’s tweeted this morning that a further spell on loan in League One is on the cards for Dunne.

The central defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland, making twelve League One appearances for the Black Cats in their ultimately unsuccessful push for promotion. He spent the first half of the campaign in the SPFL, turning in a string of impressive performances for Hearts in his fourteen appearances.
The twenty-one-year-old is no stranger to the Crown Ground having enjoyed a stint on loan there in the second half of the 2017/18 campaign. He made twenty outings for John Coleman’s side as they stormed to the League Two title, but a possible return for the popular Irishman to Stanley is not guaranteed, with Joey Barton showing an interest in taking him to Highbury.
Dunne is in the final year of his contract at Turf Moor having joined the Lancashire outfit in 2016 from Manchester United.
He is yet to make a senior appearance for the Clarets.
Our View
Dunne was fantastic for both Stanley and Hearts but failed to impress many supporters at the Stadium of Light.
However, sometimes young players find it hard to settle in pressure cooker environment and sections of the Sunderland fanbase can, by their own admission, be highly critical.
We feel that despite what many Sunderland fans believe, He would be a decent signing for both Fleetwood and Stanley and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
