The Real EFL League Two Predicted Table – Mansfield Town to win the title?

We’ve been quizzing all of our writers on their ‘1-24’ for League Two, putting the results together to give you a definitive prediction for the upcoming season.

Before we get into the actual table, we saw a huge variety of different predictions for some clubs. Cheltenham are clearly causing our tipsters some problems, content manager Roy has them as high as seventh this season, with Lewis K having them as low as 20th. That’s a 13 place different, the largest variation we saw in the predictions.

Crewe were another side to cause our writers a big split; Martin believes they’re likely to finish in second place, Lewis placed them in sixth but Brendan and JG both have them as finishing in 14th place. It only serves to underline how tight the division might be.

We’re also split on the fortunes Northampton might face. Two writers, Roy and Lewis, think they’re automatic promotion candidates. Will thinks they can make the play-offs, but JG and Brendan think they’re heading for 15th.

Almost all of our writers predict relegation misery for Macclesfield, only JG had them anywhere other than 24th, picking them to finish in 23rd. He’s got Crawley to be bottom, but the average pick was for Morecambe to finally succumb to the threat of relegation after battling against it for many seasons.

At the top, Mansfield, Plymouth and Bradford are our top three, with Forest Green, Exeter, Newport and Colchester making up the rest of the play-off places. There is to be agony for Scunthorpe, Northampton and Swindon who are set to finish just outside the top seven if our picks are to be believed.

Salford are being heavily fancied by the bookies, but not by our writers. They’re predicted to finish 14th this season, with only Roy picking them as being above tenth place.

Here’s our 1 to 24, with each writer’s individual prediction as well.
