Bolton Wanderers might be looking to the future and hoping to see light at the end of the tunnel, but journalist Alan Nixon has revealed that two of their current squad are wanted by other clubs.
Without a takeover being completed, vultures are still circling their players, with Wycombe and Norwich currently eyeing Trotters players.
Norwich, who surprisingly won the Championship last season, have identified 19-year-old Dennis Politic as a possible target. The Romanian spent time on loan with Salford City in the National League last season, scoring twice during an 11-game stay with the Ammies.
Much depends on whether he receives his pay this month, according to Nixon.
Wycombe, a fellow League One side, are poised to make a move for 21-year-old Connor Hall. He’s a former Sheffield United youth with a couple of outings to his name for Phil Parkinson’s side. He enjoyed a loan spell with Accrington Stanley last season, starting one game in League One but coming from the bench 12 times.
It’s believed Hall is another who could be open to a move because of the uncertainty around Bolton at the moment.
Our View
More bad news all around really. These players might not have been in the first team last season but, given the mass exodus, they may well have featured this time around.
If the takeover were to be concluded quickly perhaps they’d stay, but right now they’re only likely to add to the Trotters problems.
Politic, in particular, would be a big loss; he really impressed at Salford and could thrive with regular football this season. Bolton might hope that Norwich buy him and loan him back, as they have with a number of players over the last couple of years.
