Ryan Hardie has been confirmed as a Blackpool player for the coming season, joining Simon Grayson’s side not on a season-long loan deal as expected, but a permanent transfer.
The Glasgow Rangers striker was pictured at the Seasiders’ friendly against AFC Fylde last night and it was later revealed that the supposed loan deal was, in fact, a permanent move to Bloomfield Road.
The 22-year-old signs for an undisclosed fee, adding to Grayson’s attacking options. Two of his striker, Adi Yussuf and Nathan Delfouneso, bagged last night whilst Hardie will also battle with Armand Gnanduillet for a starting place.
Hardie has been capped up to Scotland Under 21 level and joins after two spells with Livingston. He bagged eight in 17 at the end of the 2017/18 season, then added seven in 17 last time out.
He also played 17 times for Rangers after coming through their academy, but only bagged two goals during his senior career at Ibrox.
Blackpool supporters were delighted to see him arrive at the club, with the future now looking very bright indeed on the west coast. Glasgow Rangers fans also took their time to thank him for his efforts and wish him luck.
