Oxford United are interested in Charlton winger Tariqe Fosu according to a South London Press report.
The twenty-three-year-old is set to leave South London in the summer, and the report claims Oxford, Rotherham and Lincoln City have all shown an interest in the winger.
It is no surprise that Oxford are tracking Fosu who had a successful spell under Karl Robinson when he was in charge at the Valley.
The forward has been offered fresh terms by the Addicks to ensure they get compensation for the player whose contract expires on 1 July.
Fosu fell down the pecking order at Charlton after the departure of Robinson and the addition of Jonny Williams in January. He still managed thirty appearances across all competitions scoring two goals. This followed an excellent campaign in 2017/18 when he found the net nine times in thirty-five games.
Our View
Robinson will be hoping his previous relationship with the player will help him land his signature.
Fosu played some of the best football of his career so far under the Oxford boss.
Fosu is young, ambitious and talented and would be a great addition to the U’s squad.
Oxford might well be at the front of the queue, but they face stiff competition from their League One rivals if the report is accurate.
Lincoln is a club on the up and Rotherham look set to mount a serious challenge for promotion; the player looks like he will have an exciting decision to make in the summer.
