Tranmere Rovers James Norwood has been nominated for EFL League Two Player of the Season.
There is little doubt Norwood has had a fantastic season so far. His prolific return of twenty-six League Two goals has helped propel the Super White Army to within touching distance of the automatic promotion places and earnt him the recognition of the EFL who have nominated him as one of the best three players in the division alongside Bury duo Jay O’Shea and Danny Major.
Norwood has also been picked in the team of the year by opposition managers in the league, and while such awards can cause controversy among supporters, few would begrudge the in-form striker the well-deserved double accolade.
Tranmere fans soon took to Twitter to offer their congratulations to Norwood, with many taking the opportunity to encourage him to sign a new contract at Prenton Park. The twenty-eight-year-old forward is out of contract in the summer.
Here is a selection of their responses on social media.

Why keep mentioning his contract. It's blatantly obvious he won't be signing one.
