‘Unacceptable’ – Crawley fans react to their worst result since joining the EFL

Crawley Town’s 6-1 defeat by Crewe on Saturday was their worst result since joining in the EFL in 2011.

Four goals inside seven first-half minutes helped Crewe to their first win in six games and left Crawley licking their wounds after a lacklustre display that left their supporters fuming.

Crawley had even taken the lead when leading scorer Ollie Palmer converted a penalty in the twelfth minute after a foul in the area on Grego-Cox.

The joy of the seventy-nine travelling supporters soon turned to misery as they watched their team capitulate in a first-half display that saw the Red Devils head into the break 4-1 down.

Two further second-half goals completed the rout, adding insult to injury which saw angry Crawley fans take to Twitter to demand refunds for the travelling faithful and the sacking of manager Gabriele Cioffi. Here is a selection of their responses.
