Cambridge United have stolen a march on their relegation rivals with the capture of Rushian Hepburn-Murphy.
As we covered yesterday, the striker joined the League Two strugglers on loan from Aston Villa, but is poised for a big future in the game. He appeared seven times for Villa earlier in the season, six times in the Championship albeit as a sub.
He’s represented England up to Under 20 level too, making him a seriously good signing for the U’s. He’s not the first precious talent to come into the basement division, Tyler Walker has thrived at Mansfield and is blazing a trail for other exciting young players.
It’s fair to say both Cambridge and Aston Villa fans are delighted with this business. With a youthful, vibrant striker willing to get on the ball and attack players, Cambridge stand a great chance of beating the drop.
Here’s what their fans are saying, with some Villa reaction thrown in too.

A striker! An actual striker! A potentially good striker who isn't old and falling apart!

Blimey, he really should destroy that league. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out. Stay injury free and you got an absolute gem. If Tammy had left then I'd not be adverse to him taking his place. That he's now loaned out also indicates tammy is staying put. Win win.

I really hope he is a success for Cambridge. I want him so bad to be a star for villa. The few games he's played in he looks so good but then gets injured.
