Exeter sign Bowman with Stockley departure imminent.

Exeter City today confirmed the signing of striker Ryan Bowman from Motherwell for a nominal undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old striker joins a day after Exeter announced that 16 goal top scorer Jayden Stockley’s release clause had been met by a number of clubs.

Bowman began his career at Carlisle United before spells with Darlington, Hereford United, York City, Torquay United and Gateshead before moving north of the border to Motherwell where he has spent the last two and a half years, scoring 14 goals in 86 appearances across all competitions.

With the departure of Stockley imminent, Grecian fans will be once again hoping they have struck gold in Scotland, and that Bowman follows in the footsteps of Stockley who failed to impress at Aberdeen before finding his scoring boots at St James Park.

Here is a selection of the fans reaction to the signing on Twitter.
