Middlesbrough vs Birmingham City: Predictions, Lineups, Betting Tips, and Odds (8/11/25)

Our 3 Predictions for Middlesbrough vs Birmingham City

  • 1st Prediction : Match To End In A Draw – 23/10
  • 2nd Prediction : Both Teams To Score – Yes – 4/5
  • 3rd Prediction : Over 3.5 Goals Scored – 12/5

First Prediction For Middlesbrough vs Birmingham City – Match To End In A Draw – 23/10

This might be a strange pick given that there has not been a drawn game between the two teams in the las six games between the pair. Current form would maybe have the visitors as slight favourites with two wins on the bounce, but Boro have a chance to get back on track with a home match that could put them back into the top two. At home Boro have not lost and have two draws from their six games, and have two draws in their last three games. Birmingham have one draw on the road, and they would be happy with at least a point from this tough away day. With points and momentum key, this could be a stalemate that keeps both happy.

Second Prediction For Middlesbrough vs Birmingham City – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 4/5

The home side have been a little goal shy so far, and have relied on a tight defence to keep them in the upper places on the table, in this game they will be put under immense pressure from a Blues side that has scored 4 times in each of the last two outings. Middlesbrough have only scored 7 goals at home, but that is still just over a goal a game average. Away from home Birmingham have only managed 4 goals, the last two 4-0 wins have been at home, so they will need that goalscoring output again but the way they are playing now they should add to their 19 goals overall.

Third Prediction For Middlesbrough vs Birmingham City – Over 3.5 Goals Scored – 12/5

Another slightly left field choice with the bare statistics showing that both teams have somewhat struggled for goals, but the fact they are now both in striking distance of making a run for the top places this alone is a good incentive to attack. Birmingham are firing now, with 8 in the last two and that momentum could see them reach similar heights again, and this will force Middlesbrough out more. Both have defences that have been mean, but when forced to chase a game gaps will appear and this could be the occasion when usually good defences are breached more than once.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results and Head to Head

The issue of scoring goals will have to be addressed if Middlesbrough are to continue to be a threat and make a real challenge for promotion. A tight defence is one thing, but the Championship is so unforgiving that goals will be key. As yet they have no player over 2, so Rob Edwards will have to find new ways to supply his strikers. Matt Targett and Luke Ayling are proving that age isn’t a factor as the two over 30’s are helping keep a tight back line. Hayden Hackney and Callum Brittain are perhaps the best way forward as they have 5 assists between them. Tommy Conway is the likely best threat up front with 2 goals and an assist to his name.

Chris Davies has finally found a winning formula, or at least for now. Two 4-0 wins are testament to that and if that keeps going they will be threatening the top places in no time. Clearly not every game will be as straightforward, but with this new impetus going forward confidence is high. Paik Seung-Ho continues to work his magic in the middle of the pitch, and his 3 goals have aided a front line that has 19 in total. Jay Stansfield has 6 goals, and will always draw the attention of opposing defenders. At the back, 2 clean sheets will have helped James Beadle in goal, and his defenders led by Christoph Klarer, Alex Cochrane, and Phil Neumann will try and keep a busy Middlesbrough attack quiet.
