Our Three Predictions For Luton Town v Mansfield Town

Prediction 1 – Luton Town To Win – 8/13

Prediction 2 – Over 2.5 Goals Scored – 4/5

Prediction 3 – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 4/5

First Prediction For Luton Town v Mansfield Town – Luton Town To Win – 8/13

The odds were going to be slightly in Luton Towns favour even before their new manager was announced earlier this week, but now with that added into the mix it does tip the scales more towards them. At home Luton have won three of their five played at home and it is their inconsistency that led to a change of manager. New impetus will be placed on getting their season up and running in this fixture. Mansfield Town are struggling on their travels, having won just once from their six games away from home. The two sit beside each other in the table, and that is a fair reflection. but you have to fancy the home side to steal a win.

Second Prediction For Luton Town v Mansfield Town – Over 2.5 Goals Scored – 4/5

Attack will be on the minds of all Luton fans as they hope the new manager will kick things on, and with a home game to energise his new ideas we could see plenty of goalmouth action. At home The Hatters have scored just five times, not giving the home support much to cheer about, but have added 9 more away so the goals are in the team. They will try their luck against The Stags defence that has allowed nine goals on their trips away, and they have managed six in reply. A goal here will keep up the away average, but with the home side having a new lease of life, it will be their day, and the scoreboard lit up more than once in their colours.

Third Prediction For Luton Town v Mansfield Town – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 4/5

Despite sitting mid-table, both sides have hit the net with regularity, to the point they average over a goal a game each. The trouble is they also allow chances and this is what is contributing to both teams average start to the campaign. Mansfield will be fearful of the fabled new manager bounce, but will not be pushovers. We can expect them to add to their total of 16, while Luton will also bag at least one goal and are favoured to hit more it what could be an entertaining match.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head To Head

The Jack Wilshere era begins at Kenilworth Road, and this could be the start of something very entertaining. The former Arsenal star will bring some of his attacking flair to the Luton team, but will want to stop the goals at the other end, which has bene a definite thorn in the teams side so far. Lasse Nordas has been starring up front in recent times and could still be the main man again to keep some consistency. Mads Andersen has been solid at the back, and Kai Naismith is ticking things over in midfield. This is a team underperforming, but all will have been trying to impress the new boss this week as the club turns a corner.

Mansfield Town under Nigel Clough are keeping things tidy, neither spectacular, or pushover, The Stags will want to keep it that way, and maybe stay in outside contention of a late run, but more keen to stay away from the drop zone. League One is full of peril but Mansfield are two games unbeaten, and will try and make that three against the odds here. Frazer Blake-Tracy has been the mainstay at the back so far, not ever present but certainly one of the first names on the gaffers mind when available. In midfield 21 year old Jamie McDonnell has been the standout player, and has had the most game time of all the players, and has also chipped in with two goals, along with Tyler Roberts he is one of four players that have a brace of goals.
