Crewe Alexandra look to use Monday evening’s success at Harrogate Town to spur them on to another League Two victory at the Mornflake Stadium against Bromley.
Our Three Predictions For Crewe Alexandra vs Bromley:
- First Prediction For Crewe Alexandra vs Bromley: Match Result – Crewe Alexandra – 6/5
- Second Prediction For Crewe Alexandra vs Bromley: Over 2.5 Goals – 9/10
- Third Prediction For Crewe Alexandra vs Bromley: Both Teams To Score – Yes – 7/10
First Prediction For Crewe Alexandra vs Bromley: Match Result – Crewe Alexandra – 6/5
After successive home defeats, Crewe have responded with three points against Notts County to get themselves back on track on their own patch. That made it three home victories from five for Lee Bell’s side, and their form at the Mornflake Stadium will be crucial to any promotion tilt this season. Bromley took four points from their opening six on offer away from the capital, but have since picked up a solitary point. Both teams have already played this week, with Crewe coming from behind to win at Harrogate Town on Monday, while the Ravens lost at Stevenage in the Vertu Trophy. Another home victory is on the cards this weekend.
Second Prediction For Crewe Alexandra vs Bromley: Over 2.5 Goals – 9/10
Bromley are among the highest scorers in League Two, but that is typically only the case in South East London. With just four on the road, only two sides have netted fewer times in the fourth tier, failing to find the net in three of their fixtures away from home. Crewe though have hardly been free-scoring themselves on their own patch, netting only six in five games. Calum Agius has provided two goal contributions at the Mornflake Stadium, but he will be away on international duty with Wales U21’s. With injury issues beginning to ease for the Alex, expect them to find the net this weekend against Bromley.
Third Prediction For Crewe Alexandra vs Bromley: Both Teams To Score – Yes – 7/10
Last season was the first time these two sides had met in a competitive fixture, with Crewe coming out on top twice. Along with their four-one thrashing earlier this year, the Alex saw off Bromley earlier in the season. Crucially, both teams were on the scoresheet in both games, with the Ravens managing a solitary goal in each encounter. The two sides have also conceded six times each at home and away, respectively, which are decent tallies relative to the remainder of the fourth tier. Nevertheless, expect both defences to be breached once more this weekend.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head:
Crewe Alexandra moved into the League Two Play-Offs on Monday evening with a comeback victory at Harrogate Town. After going behind to Jack Muldoon’s early header, Reece Hutchinson curled in a fantastic finish from a well-worked corner to level the game after half an hour. And three minutes from time, Max Sanders took matters into his own hands by unleashing an unstoppable effort into the far corner from distance to send the travelling Alex support into ecstasy. That was their second win in succession, defeating high-flying Notts County the weekend prior, when Josh March converted from the spot in the fifth minute of stoppage time. September had been disappointing before that, at least in the league. Following a draw with Colchester United, in which March put the visitors ahead before the break, successive defeats followed at the hands of newly-promoted Barnet and Barrow, which saw Lee Bell’s side slide down the table. But the month had begun in strong fashion, with a comprehensive defeat of fourth-tier rivals Chesterfield in the Vertu Trophy. Emre Tezgel grabbed a hat-trick, one of five different scores in a seven-one mauling of the Spireites.
August ended on a sour note, losing to promotion rivals Swindon Town and Gillingham without scoring a goal. That had followed a storming start to the campaign for a side keen to put last season’s dreadful end behind them. They did just that in some style by reeling off four successive wins. Winning at Salford City on the opening day was a big statement, before easing to three points against Accrington Stanley. The only blot on their copybook was losing to Cheshire rivals Stockport County in the opening round of the Carabao Cup, but the Alex quickly responded with a further two wins. After another victory at home without conceding versus Crawley Town, Lee Bell’s side put in their best performance to date at Fleetwood Town. Along with ending the Fishermen’s unbeaten start to the campaign, hitting them for four was another sizeable achievement to continue their 100% record. EFL Trophy action returns to the Mornflake Stadium next week with Liverpool U21’s the visitors, before ending the month with two tough tests against Milton Keynes Dons and Grimsby Town.
As far as starts go, Bromley could hardly have hoped for a better one after navigating through August unbeaten in the league. Draws checked their progress, with three in the fourth tier, while both the Ravens’ League Cup ties ended level after 90 minutes. But, three victories in the opening month had them in the automatic promotion places. After an uneventful draw against recently-relegated Shrewsbury Town, a London derby against National League champions Barnet got Andy Woodman’s side up and running on home soil. And three days later, the Ravens pulled off the best result in their history against Ipswich Town in the League Cup. Deji Elerewe gave them the lead on the stroke of half-time, and despite being pegged back in the second period, Sam Long stepped up to be the hero on penalties by saving two of the Tractor Boys’ spot-kicks. But, after fighting back from a goal down against Fleetwood Town, James Norwood’s stoppage-time equaliser earned the Fishermen a point. Nevertheless, the Ravens responded with four points from six on the road, edging past Cheltenham Town, before clawing back a point at Notts County courtesy of Idris Odutayo’s long-range effort.
Penalties weren’t on Bromley’s side in Round Two of the League Cup, exiting the competition at the hands of League One Wycombe Wanderers, despite a valiant effort. And that best described Harrogate Town’s endeavours at the Copperjax Community Stadium for 73 minutes, before Nicke Kabamba and Omar Sowunmi eventually broke the Sulphurites’ resistance. Ten goals in a week saw the Ravens defeated Crystal Palace U21’s on penalties in the Vertu Trophy, before Gillingham scored a controversial late penalty to snatch a point. Bromley’s unbeaten start was finally ended at Oldham Athletic, which has started a four-game winless streak. Nevertheless, an entertaining draw with promotion-chasing Chesterfield and a six-goal thriller against Tranmere Rovers were both decent results, despite leading the latter three-one before hanging on for a point with ten men. Inbetween that, high-flying Swindon Town continued their impressive form with a top first-half showing to see off the Ravens. Looking ahead, an early kick-off at Cambridge United is next on the agenda, before hosting Milton Keynes Dons to end the month.
