Our Three Predictions For Burton Albion v Plymouth Argyle

Prediction 1 – Burton Albion To Win – 3/2

Prediction 2 – Under 2.5 Goals Scored – 17/20

Prediction 3 – Match To End In A Draw – 23/10

First Prediction For Burton Albion v Plymouth Argyle – Burton Albion To Win – 3/2

Home side Burton Albion find themselves dead last in League One, but a deserved point away at Huddersfield Town last weekend could be just the result they need to start to turn the corner. They will of course need much more than that, and their home form will be reliant on picking up the necessary points. They have gained four of their five points at home, losing twice, and with Plymouth only winning once in four away trips this could be a chance for Albion to gain some momentum. Argyle have yet to draw a game, and having lost six overall they will see a point in this outing decent after losing to struggling Peterborough United last time out in the league.

Second Prediction For Burton Albion v Plymouth Argyle – Under 2.5 Goals Scored – 17/20

Given the form of the two sides, it is no surprise that neither has really lit up the scoreboard, especially Burton. Plymouth have scored just five in their four away games, and have a total of 11. so they do average over a goal a game, and that might be enough for them in this match. Burton are really having difficulties, with just two at home with five in total. Both run into double digits when it comes to conceding. Albion the better of the two with 10, but Argyle will want to be better than their 18 let in. This will be a tight game though with both needing the points.

Third Prediction For Burton Albion v Plymouth Argyle – Match To End In A Draw – 23/10

As suggested this will be a tight game between two sides that need a quick pick up. Both have had some positive results recently, Plymouth winning on the road 3-2 at Luton Town, and just this past weekend Burton had a credible goalless draw at Huddersfield. It is important that in this still quite early stage of the season that they are not cast adrift of the rest, so where both may be pushing for the win, a draw will not be a bad result, as it will keep some form going into their next games.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head To Head

t is a headscratcher for Gary Bowyer, as his Burton Albion team has been in most games this season, and yet find themselves rock bottom of what is shaping up to be a highly competitive League One. Goals are the main issue with only five so far, so lots of effort on the training ground is not paying off for the likes of Tyreese Shade and Jake Beesley, although the latter does have one goal to his name. Someone who has doubled that mark is Charlie Webster, and he is the one that makes things tick over from midfield. Alex Hartridge has slotted into a back line that features 26 year old journeyman Toby Sibbick.

Plymouth Argyle have been struggling for any kind of form, and with three wins and six losses, it will be a confusing time for manager Tom Cleverley. It is the defence that has been letting the side down, with a huge 18 goals shipped. So, Alex Mitchell and Brendan Wiredu will have to perform much better than they are presently. Up front they have the likes of Bradley Ibrahim and Lorent Tolaj, so the firepower is there with four goals between them, but they cannot do it alone. Malachi Boateng could be the one to step up, the versatile 23 year old is ever present and has one goal.
