Our Three Predictions For Notts County v Crawley Town

Prediction 1 – Notts County To Win – 3/4

Prediction 2 – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 11/20

Prediction 3 – Over 2.5 Goals Scored – 3/5

First Prediction For Notts County v Crawley Town – Notts County To Win – 3/4

This does look like a home win for Notts County. The form is not completely compelling for that but if one team out of the two is to make an upward move for a long run at promotion it is the hosts. County have won two of their four home games, and managed an average of two goals per game on home soil, a decent stat to take into a game against opposition that has only won once away this season, and is struggling to keep goals out when on the road.

Second Prediction For Notts County v Crawley Town – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 11/20

This looks like a sure bet as both sides are struggling to keep opposition from scoring, leading to their indifferent form. County at home have scored eight, which at two goals a game average could well be kept up in this match against a Crawley team that has let in six, while only scoring three times when travelling. Goalscoring hasn’t been an issue though with County managing 12 overall and even Town have managed seven, which although under a goal a game, means they are finding the net, and in am open game like this one could be they may well breach their hosts net.

Third Prediction For Notts County v Crawley Town – Over 2.5 Goals Scored – 3/5

Given the somewhat prolific nature of Notts County in front of goal they could well reach the target of this bet on their own. Eight goals at home is a more than decent return from four games, and even though they are not as free scoring away, they have 12 in total. Crawley Town have conceded 11, so it could be a case of damage limitations, but any lapse in concentration, or gaps that appear from Notts County’s willingness to score, could well be exploited.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head To Head

Alassana Jatta was one of the best strikers in League Two last season, but as of yet he has yet to score as he has only made two appearances. In his absence Matthew Dennis has struck six times and that would suggest that Martin Paterson’s side would be flying high in the League Two early running. They are however just in mid-table, and will have to be better in defence in the coming weeks if they are to start climbing the table. Sonny Aljofree is one of a back three that has not been as commanding as last season, but with Rod McDonald and Jacob Bedeau they do have a wealth of experience to fall back on, and the hangover from playoff semi-final defeat last season may pass soon.

Crawley Town are suffering again, and it could well be a long season for Scott Lindsay, and his team. They have however won three straight games across all competitions, so a corner could well be being turned, it is just how long they take to navigate it and this match may set them back. A lack of real goalscoring threat is one of the reasons they have started slow, but four goal Harry McKirdy is holding up his end, but needs to have more help around him. Kabongo Tshimanga is one that will have to perform better than he currently is for Town to start to climb the table. In defence they have let in far too many for a team that should be at least challenging for playoff spots. Josh Flint and Charlie Barker are playing well, but are being put under too much pressure, and will need more protection from a midfield that includes American Kyle Scott.
