One unfortunate trend of Barrow’s could be broken as League Two’s fifth-placed side visit the SO Legal Stadium. The Bluebirds have not managed to win two games back-to-back and could suffer their another loss in a, so far, low-scoring season. Sitting just 18th in the standings, Swindon have been fantastic in front of goal and are the joint league leaders in goalscoring after six games played.
The 11 goals scored by Ian Holloway’s side have been largely shared around the starting lineup, with contributors in multiple positions. Aaron Drinan has looked excellent in front of goal, while Gavin Kilkenny and Will Wright have continued to impress under the former Blackpool head coach. Joe Snowdon has also proved to be an electrifying asset for the Robins and could prove tricky for Barrow’s left-hand side.

Swindon have seen this bet land in just two matches this season, but will expected to add a third when they face Barrow. Swindon began their season with a close, but disappointing loss to Walsall, bouncing back the following weekend with an important 3-2 victory over recently-relegated Cambridge United. An EFL Cup loss to Cardiff City saw a focus turn towards the league much earlier than Holloway’s side would have hoped. However, this resulted in three out of four subsequent wins in the league. Wins against Oldham Athletic, Shrewsbury Town and Crewe Alexandra were partially interrupted by a complete shutout and 2-0 defeat by Barnet.
EFL Trophy campaigns began for Swindon in a 3-2 victory over Reading, while Barrow wait their turn for a first round of matches in the Vertu-sponsored competition.
