Our Three Predictions For Newport County vs Bromley
- First Prediction: Bromley – Draw No Bet – 53/100
- Second Prediction: Both Teams To Score – 33/50
- Third Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals – 83/100
First Prediction For Newport County vs Bromley – Bromley – Draw No Bet – 53/100
As we head into the business end of the season, there’s very little for these two teams to play for. Newport currently sit 18th but eased their relegation fears with a six game unbeaten run throughout January and February. As a result, they are now 13 points above the bottom two with seven games left to play. It’s that cushion which has made their recent form less alarming, where they have lost six of their last eight outings. They have recorded two wins although both of those came against teams currently below them in the league table. The Exiles have only beaten teams above them once in their last 12, which was a 3-0 win against Crewe Alexandra in February.
Bromley have enjoyed a steady start to life in the EFL have earned promotion to the Football League for the first time last season. Although they are winless in their last four, they sit 13th and will be hoping to secure a top half finish. They are also still mathematically in the race for the play-offs, sitting 10 points behind seventh-placed Grimsby Town. The Ravens will be keen to return to winning ways here and will take heart from their 5-2 victory against the same opposition earlier in the campaign. Backing them to win with a draw no bet option will see your stake returned if the scores end level.
Second Prediction For Newport County vs Bromley – Both Teams To Score – 33/50
Newport only rank 19th in the both teams to score market in League Two, with 46% of their fixtures achieving this result. However, that rises to 53% at Rodney Parade, the ninth highest in the division. They’ve only kept one clean sheet in their last eight, meaning they’re likely to concede here. Meanwhile, they found the back of the net in seven of their last 10 in front of their own supporters.
Bromley rank joint fifth with MK Dons in the fourth tier in this market, with 56% of their games seeing both teams score. This includes their last four fixtures, including the 3-2 defeat at the hands of Salford City on Saturday.
Third Prediction For Newport County vs Bromley – Over 2.5 Goals – 83/100
On paper, Newport are the team to watch if you want goals this season. No other team has seen more games with three or more goals, with a staggering 62% of their fixtures achieving this feat. This rises even further to 68% at Rodney Parade, again the highest in League Two. However, their last two have fallen short of this prediction, with a 2-0 defeat against Notts County on Saturday following a 1-0 reverse at Grimsby Town. Prior to that though, the Exiles were involved in six successive high-scoring games.
Bromley have seen their last four outings hit this figure, although their season average is at a lowly 44%. This figure to rise to 47% when they’re on the road, but recent form has to be taken into account. The Ravens have conceded nine goals in their last four, and with ambitions of a top half finish, they may need to score at least twice to take the three points here.

Full Preview of the Game: Last Results and Head-To-Head
Newport spent much of the campaign trying to fend off relegation before hitting a purple patch at the end of January. This saw them record four wins and two draws to pull away from the bottom two. Now, with safety virtually assured, they seem to have taken their foot off the pedal in recent weeks, losing six of their last eight. They have suffered defeat in their last two games without scoring, losing 2-0 against Notts County and 1-0 at Grimsby Town. However, a 3-0 win at Rodney Parade on March 15th showed there is still some fight in there. Although they now sit 18th, they are just six points above 22nd placed Tranmere Rovers and will be keen to finish as high up the table as possible.
Bromley’s debut season in the EFL has seen them in and around mid-table for much of the campaign. However, the unpredictable nature of League Two means they are still just 10 points off the play-off places. With only seven games remaining though, a top seven finish seems a tall ask. Things could have been different if they hadn’t suffered a recent blip in form. The Ravens are winless in their last four, losing against Tranmere, Carlisle United and Salford City. They drew 2-2 with Walsall in the other game.
This is only the second meeting between the pair in the EFL, with Bromley winning 5-2 at Hayes Lane on Boxing Day. The two do share a small amount of history in non league, having been paired together in the National League South between 2007 and 2010. The last clash at Rodney Parade came back in 2009, with Newport winning 2-0.
