1st prediction for Notts County vs Colchester United: Notts County to win or draw – 1/5

Tuesday’s game is an interesting one to call; Colchester are in mid table but are in fantastic form, and need more wins to boost their outside chance of a play-off place. This will be a very difficult game in which to keep that run going, though. Notts County are 4th and have been in the automatic promotion picture all season, with a win here taking them back into the top three. They have home advantage as well, which will serve them well. Their form is mixed at the moment but their quality will likely shine through, with this being a pivotal game for the outcome of their season. Colchester will test them, and this will be a good test for them to see where they’re at, but Notts County should have too much for them.

2nd prediction for Notts County vs Colchester United: Over 2.5 goals in the game – 17/20

This will likely be a very strong quality game for the division, with two sides playing well and looking to entertain. As such, there will be goals, especially with the players on show in this game. Both teams look to score, and won’t settle for just a point in this one. They both have plenty to play for, with Notts County just a point outside the automatic promotions spots and Colchester having a slim chance of the play-offs after a great spell. With both sides, doing well, they’ll be full of confidence going into this one, which will mean a free-flowing and attacking game of football which is sure to produce goals, despite the excellent defences both sides have.

3rd prediction for Notts County vs Colchester United: Both teams to score – 33/50

Both sides have an abundance of attacking talent at their disposal, with many players likely to feature in this game who could easily play in the division above. While Colchester are good going forwards, it’s hard to overlook the attacking quality of Notts County with the likes of Jodi Jones and Alassana Jatta, who have both been integral to County’s good form this season. There’s also the form both teams play to take into account; Stuart Maynard’s side play very attractive football which was leaky at the back last season, but much tidier this year. The Cowley brothers also set their teams up to play good football but they know how to win ugly while still scoring goals. This might be what is needed her with the U’s the underdogs, but still a good bet to get a goal.

Full preview of the game: last results and head to head

This is a big game in League Two between two sides with different ambitions; Notts County will be expecting promotion this season after building a seriously impressive squad, while Colchester will be enjoying a season away from a relegation fight with hopes of a play-off push. This game will be key for both teams.

In terms of form, Notts County are unbeaten in five of their last six, with four wins in that period. Their last game was, however, a loss against fellow promotion hopefuls Port Vale. As for Colchester, they’ve been fantastic lately and are unbeaten in their last six league matches. Their last result was a disappointing draw against bottom side Carlisle United.

This fixture’s history makes for interesting reading, Notts County have won 15 of 32 meetings, while the away side have 11 victories. This is the first game between the two this season, having been re-arranged from earlier in the campaign. History suggest goals, though, with the last three games resulting in a frankly ridiculous 16 goals.
