Notts County put their current unbeaten run of five games on the line in this League Two match, against a Morecambe side that has been swimming against the relegation tide for far too long, and are desperate for points.
Our Three Predictions For Notts County v Morecambe
- Prediction 1 – Notts County To Win – 9/25
- Prediction 2 – Both Teams To Score – No – 9/10
- Prediction 3 – Total Goals Over 3.5 – 3/2
First Prediction For Notts County v Morecambe – Notts County To Win – 9/25
This looks like a nailed on home win for The Magpies. They are one of the form sides in the league and have put their promotion push firmly back on line. Their home is only ninth best but have only lost three at Meadow Lane, and have not lost in their last three on home ground, having beaten two other teams at the wrong end of the table. And that is where their visitors currently are sitting in one of the two relegation spots. It is easy to see why as they have lost 10 of their 16 games away, and on a four game losing streak on their travels scoring only once in the last five trips.
Second Prediction For Notts County v Morecambe – Both Teams To Score – No – 9/10
Notts County are one of League Two’s top scorers with 45 goals. At home they have only scored 18 times, so they are due a big win and this could well be the day that they do. They have been very mean at Meadow Lane by only conceding eight times in 13 games, and that is why they find themselves in prime promotion form. These goal stats do not bode well for The Shrimps, as they have only managed 13 goals on the road, and overall have conceded 46. This could be a big day for the County strike force, and a long one for the Morecambe defence. County have only let in once in the last three, and before getting a goal midweek in a losing effort, Morecambe drew four straight blanks in away games.
Third Prediction For Notts County v Morecambe – Total Goals Over 3.5 – 3/2
The last time Notts County didn’t score a goal at home in the league was back in late November. Five games later they have notched up eight goals. They have only lost once in the last nine games, and scored 20 times along the way scoring three or more on three occasions. They are due a big score on this current run, and lowly Morecambe could be the victims. Needing points Morecambe did pick up a win in their last but one game, a 4-2 victory over Fleetwood, but have not won away since Boxing Day, and have only managed two away goals since early December, They will do well to get anything from this game, even a late consolation goal may not be enough, but could help this bet.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head To Head
Stuart Maynard has got the Magpies back into the automatic promotion mix with a fine run of form that has seen his defence tighten up, only two goals conceded in their run of five unbeaten, while regaining the scoring touch, nine in that time. It is hard to see past the goalscoring prowess of his two main marksmen, David McGoldrick and Alassana Jatta. Both have 13 goals this season, and if they are to go up they will need them to keep firing. Strong midfield play from George Abbott and Matty Palmer who have six assists between them, are helping County move forward. At the back Alex Bass is ever present in goal, and proving to be one of the best at this level. In front of him, Matty Platt has been a rock only missing one game and has also helped himself to two goals.
The Shrimps are in need of a good sequence of results, but this will be a tough test for Derek Adam’s side. A lot rides on the form of Welsh striker Marcus Dackers, he has become one of the standout players in the division, but so far only has one goal to his name, and that will need to improve if Morecambe are to stay up. Andy Dallas is the perfect foil for Dackers play, but again needs to up his output from just two goals. Jamie Stott is the first name on the team sheet, and the back line does need his leadership. Luke Hendrie likes to get forward, and has three assists from his defensive role, but maybe it is the versatile play of Yann Songo’o. The 33-year-old Cameroonian has two goals and the same number of assists from his holding midfield play.
