On the face of it, these odds seem exceptionally high when looking at the two teams league positions. Sheffield United currently sit third and are embroiled in a four-way battle for the Championship title, whilst Norwich are 16 points further back in 11th. However, the Canaries recent form has been excellent and they are unbeaten in their last four league outings, winning three. Meanwhile, Sheffield United have only one win in their last five in all competitions and were dumped out the FA Cup by Cardiff City last weekend.
Although the Blades’ form has dipped, they returned to winning ways in the league last time out with a 2-1 victory away at Watford, whilst the games they did lose were against fellow title challengers Burnley and Sunderland. Norwich have played in front of their own supporters in three of their last four games, and their away win over Luton Town on New Year’s Day was their first victory on the road since September.

Sheffield United’s defence became one of the hardest to break down between October and December. During a an 11 game unbeaten run, they conceded just five times, playing a huge part in their surge to the top of the table. The busy festive schedule coincided with a shift at the back though, and they have conceded six times in their last four.
Norwich have been in excellent goalscoring form this season. Only table toppers Leeds United have scored more and they have the division’s top scorer in Borja Sainz. However, the attacker will be absent for this game through suspension. The Canaries have netted in their last six fixtures, with the goalless draw against Portsmouth on December 10th the last time they drew a blank.
Third Prediction For Sheffield United vs Norwich City – Over 2.5 Goals – 51/50
Similar to the previous prediction, this would have been a bet to avoid just a month ago. Sheffield United were grinding out results by one or two goals whilst not conceding. During that aforementioned 11 game unbeaten run, they were involved in just four results featuring three or more goals. However, their last two outings have both finished 2-1, resulting in one win and a loss.
Norwich are probably one of the most entertaining sides to watch for a neutral. Seven of their last 10 have seen a minimum of three goals. With their talent in front of goal, they’ll be confident of breaking down the Blades’ defence. Chris Wilder’s side will need to score at least twice to secure the three points here.

Full Preview of the Game: Last Results and Head-To-Head
Both teams crashed out of the FA Cup last weekend, Sheffield United losing to Cardiff City whilst Norwich were handed an early exit by Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion. It is the Canaries which enter this game in the better form, winning three of their last four Championship fixtures. Their last league outing saw them beat Coventry City on January 4th, three days after a 1-0 win against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road. However, this was their first three points on the road since the end of September, a run stretching eight games.
Sheffield United suffered a poor festive period, losing to Burnley and Sunderland whilst mustering a draw against fellow promotion challengers West Bromwich Albion. They did return to winning ways with a win over Watford at Vicarage Road last time out though. Bramall Lane has been somewhat of a fortress this season, with the Blades winning nine of their 12 games in front of their own supporters.
The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in their previous meeting at Carrow Road in August. Sheffield United hold the upper hand in recent times in this fixture and haven’t lost to Norwich in their previous eight clashes. The Canaries last victory came at Bramall Lane in 2017.
