Our Three Predictions For Norwich City vs Millwall:
- First Prediction For Norwich City vs Millwall: Match Result – Draw – 21/10
- Second Prediction For Norwich City vs Millwall: Under 3.5 Goals – 21/100
- Third Prediction For Norwich City vs Millwall: Borja Sainz To Score Anytime – 17/10
First Prediction For Norwich City vs Millwall: Match Result – Draw – 21/10
While Millwall ended their disappointing run last time out, both sides have struggled for form as of late. Wins over the festive period for both would move them much closer to the top six, but Play-Off aspirations feel a little way off for now. Two points separate the sides, and although Millwall have a game in hand, they are seven points adrift of sixth placed Middlesborough. That gap is nine points for Norwich, with both having injury issues which have hampered good starts to the campaign. A draw feels the likely outcome in East Anglia this afternoon.
Second Prediction For Norwich City vs Millwall: Under 3.5 Goals – 21/100
In Millwall’s case, seeing more than two goals in a game is an extremely unlikely scenario. In only four games out of 23 in all competitions have there been more than that figure this season, and none of them encounters have come since September. In the Canaries case, the goals have stopped flowing as much this month, with none of their encounters having more than three this month. But in their final two games of November, Norwich hit ten goals. That sort of afternoon doesn’t look likely this afternoon though against resolute opposition.
Third Prediction For Norwich City vs Millwall: Borja Sainz To Score Anytime – 17/10
The divisions leading marksman is five clear of his nearest rival in the goalscoring chart, and will be aiming to end his longest drought of the season without a goal. Sainz is four games without netting, but has scored nine times in ten home games this campaign. While Millwall have proved tough to crack defensively, last conceding multiple times in a game in their second game of the season, the Lions have yet to face the man who has scored fifteen league goals this term.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head:
Norwich will be thankful for two home encounters over the festive period, as they haven’t tasted victory on the road since controversially defeating Derby at the end of September. The Canaries have had a miserable December to date though, winless in their four encounters in the final month of the year.
While narrow defeats against promotion-chasing Sunderland and Burnley in their last two will provide some encouragement, the fact they led in both and dropped six points will not. Nor will the two previous games, a fortunate goalless draw at Portsmouth and a dismal showing against QPR to start the month. They will have the chance to inflict revenge on the Hoops when they come to Carrow Road in a few days time.
Millwall meanwhile have seen all four games this month end a goal to nil, but the win over Blackburn the first time they had been on the right end of that result. Losses to Middlesborough and Sheffield United could have been expected given Neil Harris’ sudden departure, while the Lions were missing key personnel for the defeat against Coventry.
You also have to go back to the end of September to find the last time there were more than two goals in a game involving Millwall. That’s a run of fourteen games, with a particular pattern of four wins, three draws, and then three losses prior to Mihailo Ivanović’s injury time winner giving them all three points against Rovers at the weekend. A trip to Coventry is quickly on the horizon for the Lions.
A single goal was the difference when these sides met over the Christmas period last season, Tom Bradshaw giving the ten men of Millwall all three points. Norwich were unbeaten in eight games prior to that, winning the last three. 1968 was the last time that Millwall took all three points from this part of East Anglia, failing to win their last 24 outings at Carrow Road.
That points towards a far superior record for the Canaries, which is somewhat the case with their 41 wins to Millwall’s 27. On 23 occasions has this contest ended level.
