“They Can Do It” – Arsenal Legend Tips Lincoln City For Glory – Exclusive

Lincoln City are the most in-form team in League One and are being talked about by fans up and down the country for their impressive victories in recent weeks.

The Imps are on an unbeaten run of 13 league matches, having won eight of their last ten, however, that is not what has caught most people’s eye. Instead, it is their last three matches which stand out, having gone to promotion hopefuls Barnsley and given them a 5-1 thrashing, before dispatching of Cambridge United and Bristol Rovers 6-0 and 5-0 respectively.

This incredible run has seen the side climb from 12th in the division to seventh, now only two points outside of the top six, firmly placing the Lincolnshire outfit in the playoff conversation. During the first half of the season, injuries, primarily to the front line, held the Imps back. However, once players returned in January, and Michael Skubala had time on the training pitch with his team, results improved exponentially.

With goals now flowing, and clean sheets to match, many are beginning to suggest that the Imps could make a late push and one man who has tipped Lincoln to make the playoffs is Arsenal legend Ray Parlour.

“Absolutely they can do it,” he told The Real EFL exclusively. “I love League One, it is full of teams who have been in the Premier League. Lincoln have every chance, and if they can do it, it would just be great. A day out at Wembley awaits if you can go all the way, and there is no reason why not.”

Parlour spent over a decade at the Emirates, making almost 500 appearances, including being a part of ‘The Invincibles’ squad. As well as winning three Premier League titles, he also helped his team win four FA Cups.

“If they can break in the top six, then they’ll be doing it as the form side which could certainly help their chances,” the 51-year-old added.

Lincoln now find themselves without a game until Good Friday, when they host Leyton Orient at Sincil Bank, a game many will suggest is a must-win if they wish to carry on a playoff charge.
