Rochdale winger Abraham Odoh is attracting interest from a host of EFL clubs, with the new National League club coming to terms they may lose him, according to reports from Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider 247.
The Dale is increasingly becoming resigned to losing the versatile forward, despite having a 12-month option to extend his contract. It has therefore led to multiple clubs keeping tracks on the player, however, none have been named at this moment.
Who Is Abraham Odoh?
The 22 -year old joined Charlton Atheltic early on in his career, after spending multiple seasons playing in the non-league. Making just one appearance in the FA Cup for the Addicks, Odoh’s contract expired the following summer, with him soon joining Rochdale mid-season.
Making two appearances during the Dale’s relegation season from League One, the Englishmen finally contributed in the 2021/22 season. Featuring 37 times in the year, Odoh picked up three goals and one assist throughout the season.
Following up into this season, Odoh witnessed another relegation with the club, as his 45 appearances and three-goal contributions in the league weren’t enough to keep the team in the Football League.
What Can He Offer To Clubs?
During his two seasons with Rochdale, the youngster has shown to be a versatile forward, able to play on both wings and in a centre-forward role. It has led to the player getting plenty of game time this past season, however, his lack of contribution in the final third causes question marks.
In 92 professional appearances, Odah has just four goals and four assists to his name, as he struggles to make the most of his chances in front of goal.

Rochdale does still hold a contract option over Odah, which can keep him at the club for a further year, however, they may use the clause to receive a transfer figure instead of letting him leave for free. The winger has gained some good experience in League Two over the past two seasons, however, his lack of goal contributions does stand out.
For that reason I would see a move to a League Two club as more realistic, however, a team in a higher division may value him higher due to his potential and versatility.
