A strange situation occurred at Valley Parade in the meeting between Newport County and Bradford City, as reported by BBC Sport Wales.
Bantams goalkeeper Harry Lewis scooped up the ball after it had rebounded back to him, but what followed could be described as madness.
It turned out that Lewis had in fact handled the ball outside his area, which in any other circumstance, the Bradford shot-stopper would have seen red, but he and referee Sam Allinson were both confused.
When it was finally establish what had happened, Lewis was shown a yellow card.
The venue is also home to Dragons, who were last in action at Valley Parade there on Saturday, 4 March when they lost to Irish team Connacht, during a time when Newport County were playing away at Salford City.
Both managers offered different opinions, with Mark Hughes jumping to support his player who made an honest mistake.
But Newport manager Graham Coughlan was in complete disagreement, with him initially admitting he could accept the fact that Lewis had made a mistake, but then seemed to be in complete denial about it, stating that his players would have been punished if the same situation simultaneously happened.
The match ended 1-1 in the end, with Andy Cook netting his 20th of the season to hand Bradford the lead, but a late leveller restored Newport parity.

It’s a crazy situation which, in all honesty, can happen to anyone. It’s clear to see Lewis wasn’t conscious about what he was doing as he raced out with force to meet the ball, but if the referee was also conscious, the ultimate correct decision would have been made and Lewis would have seen red.
I’m not to sure what will happen and all I can take from it is that it should have resulted in red, but it’s a mistake that’s easy to make.
