The EFL has issued Southend United with two more charges amid growing concerns over the state of the Essex outfit.
The Blues have been hit with a second misconduct charge after failing to pay their players on time in February.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, they have also been charged with fielding an ineligible player in their first home league win of the season against Lincoln City at the beginning of February.
The EFL has referred the club to an independent Disciplinary Commission over the matters, with a points deduction a possible outcome. The news follows a similar charge for failing to pay several players on time in December.
The season has been a disaster for the Shrimpers. They sit second bottom of League One having won only four league games all season, and the pressure is mounting on chairman Ron Martin. Fans want some answers with League Two football almost an inevitability next year.
It is a worrying time at Roots Hall, illustrated by the reaction of fans when they took to social media to react to the news.
Many supporters are angry over how Martin is running the club and feel they have no future while he remains at the helm.
Here is a selection of Southend fans responses to the news on Twitter.
We are a joke, I know people don't want Ron Martin but if it wasn't for him there wouldn't be a club. Just pray we will still have a club in the next few days.

Is there no end to the downward spiral our club is in? Unbelievable bad management by Mr Martin and the Directors whilst Sol Campbell has his finger in the dyke trying desperately to stop the ship sinking! Fans deserve medals for continuing to come in numbers twice that of Col U

Would this have happened if we had a CEO?
Martin was determined to run the club on his own and has now come unstuck, poor management, Sol Campbell must be wondering what on earth is going on— Gary Williams (@GaryWil98860367) March 9, 2020
Jesus it doesn't stop does it. Just a constant barrage of shite news. 10 years on and nothing has changed apart from our academy is better and the kit is worse
