Sunderland have confirmed that an event due to feature chairman Stewart Donald will now be headed up by Charlie Methven and former player Kevin Ball.
The club are holding a ‘talk-in’ on November 22nd at Quinn’s Sports Bar, with the event originally set to feature chairman Stewart Donald. after coming off Twitter (again) recently, Donald will now no longer be in attendance. Instead, it will now be headlined by executive director Charlie Methven and club playing legend Kevin Ball.
The club state that Methven will share details on what the recent investment from FPP means for the club, along with the owner’s plans for the future. There will also be a question and answer session from the floor, but those posing question likely to be facing Donald will have to be put on the back burner.
With Mark Campbell’s takeover collapsing and the recent cash injection perhaps not quite going as far as fans had hoped, Donald has become the subject of much debate. Some see him as the steadying figure who helped the club through some choppy waters, but others are concerned he may not have the means or the desire to keep on dragging the club forward.
There is certainly a feeling on Twitter that he’s hiding away from supporters, something this lot are not altogether happy about.
I agree with SD to not be on Twitter anymore but to hide from events like this a disgrace !!

Does SD not wanting to appear in public anymore have any affect on his plans with Sunderland? As in does he want out?

SD I can say did the little things well at the start. still not invested it the team relying on free transfers. Ross should of done better with team he had last year but SD failing to keep hold of Maja was the nail in our season coffin. further squad out goings ( understand to balance the book) have weakened the team.
SD used twitter to is advantage but when things go wrong goes awol
backing out of club meets is no way to run a club
