Sunderland fans have praised Bolton Wanderers for keeping prices down as the two sides are due to clash later this month.
The cash-strapped Trotters have not taken advantage of the huge crowd expected to travel from Sunderland resulting in a sell-out already for the Black Cats.
That’s 4,000 Mackems making the trip to the University of Bolton Stadium in a fixture that was once a Premier League encounter. With the visitors likely to be pushing for a top six spot and the hosts desperately looking to salvage some respect from the season, it promises to be a red-hot atmosphere.
The tendency for some clubs would be to hike prices for a category A fixture such as this, squeezing every last drop of money they can out of the huge travelling support. That’s not the case here, something that the travelling support are grateful for.
They’ve reacted on Twitter to both the selling out of tickets, as well as the reasonable pricing by the Trotters.
