Peterborough United released their away kit yesterday, just days before they play their first away game of the season.
Doubtless looking for a positive response after the 3-1 home reverse by Fleetwood, Posh unveiled a black kit with pink detailing which they describe as ‘eagerly anticipated’. After a strong summer of recruitment, hopes are high for a decent season, despite yesterday’s set back.
Like most clubs though, there is an underbelly of critics and cynics at London Road. Chairman Darragh MacAnthony invited those moaners to ‘kiss his ass’ this weekend as he looked to avoid Twitter, but they’re out in force once more with the club’s kit release.
One of those fans commenting isn’t happy they’ve got the same kit as FC Utrecht in the Netherlands, although surely part of modern football is for big kit suppliers to use their stock kits, albeit with a few changes.
It’s not all bad though; the combination of black and pink (or dark purple) is eye-catching and other fans are happy with the club’s efforts.
