Re City's record transfer paid, for what it's worth (and no idea whether it's accurate) the latest edition of the Football Yearbook gives it as £100,000 for John Akinde.

No problem with Akinde in there, he was a fundamental part of a title winning side, likewise Shackell.

Boyce but no (double trophy lifting, iconic moment contributing captain) Waterfall?  Arnold below Patulea? Gis Bos?? Jamie Taylor?? I'll take issue with those!

I was told different figures for that at different times by the same source. £150,000 and £125,000 were both mentioned. For the record, I was told similar for Tom Hopper.
