EAFC 24 is right around the corner and EA Sports have released the official ratings database ahead of the launch of the web app on September 20th, but diving into the Championship, let’s take a look at the five quickest players in the division.
For context, EAFC is the new name given to the FIFA gaming franchise and the brand new game is set to be publicly released within the next two weeks, allowing millions of players from across the globe to compete to make the best teams possible as well as a whole host of new features and gameplay changes from FIFA 23.
Unlike previous FIFA’s, there are 21 Championship players that are rated 75 or above, entitling them to receive a gold card on the new game. This is dominated by Leicester City, who have several high-rated players including Jamie Vardy (78), Wilfred Ndidi (79) and Ricardo Pereira (79).
However, there are also several surprise names that have received gold cards that also don’t play for a newly-relegated side. For example, West Bromwich Albion’s Jed Wallace, Coventry City’s Milan Van Ewijk and Norwich City’s Christian Fassnacht have also got a rating of 75 on the newest version.

With that being said, let’s begin the countdown of the five fastest Championship players on EAFC 24…
5) Josh Ginnelly – Swansea City : 91 pace
On EAFC 24, there are six Championship players that have 91 pace but we have opted to select Swansea’s Josh Ginnelly based solely on him being the highest rated of the six players on the new game. The English winger joined Swansea in the summer from Hearts and has received a rating of 70 on the new game, with his best statistic being his pace with 91 out of 99.
Ginnelly also has a shooting rating of 69 which is a +7 increase from his FIFA 23 version, with his dribbling (74) and physicality (61) amongst the other statistics that have improved.
However, there were five other players with the same pace rating which were: Brandon Thomas-Asante (West Bromwich Albion), Kayden Jackson & Wes Burns (Ipswich Town), Emmanuel Latte Lath (Middlesbrough) and Przemyslaw Placheta (Norwich City).
4) Cohen Bramall – Rotherham United : 92 pace
Next up, we have Rotherham United defender Cohen Bramall who is the second-fastest defender in the Championship on EAFC 24. On FIFA 23, Bramall has a pace rating of 92 which means he has kept the same pace rating on the newest version of the game.
However, Bramall will be a bronze card on EAFC 24, with an overall rating of 64. The left wing-back has seen the majority of his statistics remain exactly the same, except his physicality, which has decreased from 65 to 64.
3) Milan Van Ewijk – Coventry City : 92 pace
The Championship’s fastest defender is also Coventry City’s first ever gold base card, in the form of Dutch full-back Milan Van Ewijk. The defender is 75 rated on EAFC 24, which is a big increase on his previous FIFA rating and also has 92 pace.
Van Ewijk was awarded an Eredivisie team of the season card on FIFA 23 which means that an overall rating increase was almost guaranteed. All six of his main statistics have drastically increased, from his passing (60, +4), dribbling (70, +3) and shooting (54, +19), and he will be almost guaranteed inclusion in the majority of Championship-based ultimate teams.
2) Kamaldeen Sulemana – Southampton : 93 pace
Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana is the joint-fastest player in the Championship according to EA Sports but misses out on the number one spot because his overall rating is 74, which makes him a silver card on EAFC 24.
The left-winger has seen a couple of his statistics decrease from FIFA 23, with his physicality (60, -2) and dribbling (79, -1) being the most noticeable of those. However, he is almost certainly going to be one of the quicker silver cards in the game and will be an exciting player to use.
1) Dan James – Leeds United : 93 pace
However, taking the number one spot is Leeds United’s Dan James who takes top spot because he has been given an overall rating of 75. This is one better than Sulemana and also makes James a gold card on the new game.
The Welshman is a right-midfielder on EAFC 24, but has seen all of his statistics downgraded following Leeds’ relegation to the Championship last season. James had 95 pace on FIFA 23 but has suffered a decrease to 93, with his passing (-2) and physicality (-3) being the biggest downgrades.
