Hull City Set To Miss Out On Target

Hull City are set to lose out on the signing of Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis, with the player opting for a move to Italian side Udinese, according to a report from Hull Live.

The 25-year-old looked set to complete a move to the Tigers but it now appears as though he will be heading down to Italy, ending his time at Villa Park for good.

Who is Keinan Davis?

The striker joined Aston Villa at U18s from Non-League side Biggleswade Town and rose through the ranks into the first-team fold. He had loan spells with Nottingham Forest and Watford but is now set to depart.

Davis made over 80 first-team appearances at Villa Park, as well as contributing to 17 goals in 56 appearances whilst out on loan in the Championship. Davis also earned three caps at youth level for England in his earlier days.

A bright start from the Tigers

Hull City head to Leicester City on Saturday with the hope of getting into the top six. Despite an opening day defeat to Norwich, Hull have responded with wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn, as well as a draw against Bristol City.

The Tigers currently sit eighth in the Championship, taking seven points from their first four games and will be hopeful of becoming the first team to take points off Leicester this season.

Hull Live released a short post on their article which stated…

Hull City transfer target Keinan Davis is set to reject the club’s advances in favour of a move to Italian Serie A club Udinese, with the 25-year-old set to finalise his move in the next few hours.

Writer’s View

Davis has plenty of Championship and Premier League experience and news of his move to Italy will be a big blow to what’s been a successful summer window for Hull City.

However, Hull have added Liam Delap and Aaron Connolly and I am certain that they will land another striker before the window closes.
