
Portsmouth have joined SPFL side Aberdeen, in the race to sign Liverpool forward Harvey Blair this Summer, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke from Football Insider.
The 19-year-old is a product of the Liverpool academy, rising through the ranks and has attracted plenty of EFL and SPFL interest in his services, with the summer transfer window about to open in the coming days.
Who is Harvey Blair?
The forward made his mark for Liverpool’s u21’s this season, impressing the clubs youth staff and has attracted plenty of interest from clubs this summer. He featured twice in the EFL Trophy this season, in matches against Rochdale and Salford City.
Meanwhile, the winger has made 16 appearances in the Premier League 2 this season, scoring five goals and assisting a further strike for the club.
Who is reportedly interested?
Portsmouth are the significant side that have been credited with an interest, but face EFL competition from the likes of Burton Albion and Leyton Orient this summer, as he looks destined for a possible League One move.
Meanwhile, Scottish Premiership sides Aberdeen and Kilmarnock have also joined the race for the wingers services this summer, creating an interesting opportunity for the 19-year-old.

I don’t know much about the player, but his statistics for the 2022/23 season were extremely impressive. He is likely to thrive in League One, if he was to make that switch into the third tier.
Similarly, Portsmouth will need to strengthen their attacking options next season, in order to get themselves back into play-off contention, following a difficult 2022/23 campaign for the club.
